Oh my! I finally figured out how to blog at midnight. I should be sleeping. I am in fact quite tired, BUT so excited I can do this on my phone now. IF my little brain will let me remember my password. ;)
Too late not only speaks of the time it is right now, but more importantly the time it's been since my last post. Ugh. I'm going to blame it in my brain tumor. Tomorrow's post. Normally I would have just closed this blog down and started over, but I'm not. I'm not going to be so hard on myself.
This is the main reason I don't get to blog....
Yep. I'm a sucker. Every single night I'm in bed with someone other than my husband. I swore it wouldn't happen. Swore I would never let my kids sleep in bed with me. Now...I am lying here hoping it lasts a long time. :).
Night night!

Saturday
Today is Saturday, Dec. 31. Cannot believe the year has gone by so quickly. This year I want to do the following things:
1. reading/talking/praying about God
2. spend more time listening to my sweet children
3. play games with my children
4. exercise with my children
5. read with my children
Not too much...
But I seem to get so caught up in life...the house getting cleaned, the dishes being done, dinner being cooked, diapers being changed, going to dance, going to the grocery store, etc. Life...ugh.
The most important things are right in front of my eyes. Sarah, Abram and Luke. It doesn't matter what the house looks like, it doesn't matter if we are late, it doesn't matter if we don't go to bed right on time...it just matters that every single day my children KNOW with their whole hearts that I am in LOVE with them. When they go to bed at night...when they open their eyes in the morning...I want them to know how much I love them and how I do not know what made me happy before they were born.
SO...the things that are important are my focus this year.
Much love,
Momma

Tonight I am up late thinking about what a wonderful blessing it is to be a momma. I don't want to paint a picture of perfection by any means. I am tired. I am cranky at times. I get impatient. I even want to be alone every once in awhile. But overall...I have never in my life been happier. I look at the three of you and I just melt. I am amazed that God has given me such wonderful gifts.
Luke-you are the sweetest little baby. You are so easy. You walk around. You like to dance. You don't like to eat that much, but you like to drink...chocolate milk...and only from one cup! You have one cup that you like. If I try to give you a drink in another cup you refuse to drink it! So funny. You are also so tough. You fall, get hit, bump your head, etc. You may cry for a minute, but then it is quickly over and you are on your way back to playing. You love oreo cookies! I need to take a picture of you after you have eaten one. You love your brother and sister. They have taught you to make a "mad face." You put your fists up in the air, you shake and clench your teeth and shake your head. So funny!
Abram-you have been quite a handful lately. Wow. Not sure if it is the full moon or lack of sleep or a little bit of both. You don't want to sleep alone. You are on "daddy's team." You don't love me. And anytime I ask you a question your answer is, "Never." BUT...this is the funniest part. You are so fake about it all. :) You are bad and tough...then you come to me and cuddle. You run into my arms and hug me for so long. You don't want to go to preschool because you want to be with me. You run like the wind when you hear me pick up my keys. You want to go with me wherever I go. You want to sleep beside of me. Then you get up at 6am because I am not there. Yet another reason that the phrase "actions speak louder than words" is one of my favorites.
Sarah-my sweet girl. I love you so much. You are really growing up so quickly. I am not sure when it all happened. It seems like just yesterday you were crying all night and making me bounce you to sleep. :) You are in second grade and you LOVE your teacher. You are super smart...great student. I never have to help you with your homework. You are so responsible. You come home and rest awhile then you get it all done. You are also good at everything you try to do. It doesn't seem fair to people like me! :) You are an awesome dancer, cheerleader, soccer player, and football player. Yes. I said football player. You went to a Punt, Pass and Kick contest at a local community college recently. I was really surprised when you came home with second place!! I have never seen you punt, pass or kick a football. But you did it. You were amazing!
I love you all very much. More than chocolate!

Momma

Another Year Older
This summer we celebrated birthdays for all four of our babies.
Sarah turned seven. Hard to believe. She had a slumber party with six little girls...Emily, Jaci, Zoe, Riley O., Jessi, and Kendall. We had water play, manis and pedis, watched Soul Surfer, and ate popcorn. It was a good, but exhausting night. Sarah wants an I-Pad/Pod...not sure what it is called for her bday so she asked all of her friends for money. :)

Of course you had fun...but somewhere in the middle you told me it was the "worst party ever" and that it was another "failed mission as momma." Ahhh...the love! :)
Abram turned four...the day after his birthday he said to me, "Do I get to have another birthday?" I told him yes, but it would be over 300 more days. He got so excited! He told everyone for days that he got to have another birthday in 300 days!! So sweet. I love how excited he gets over small things.
Abram had a party at the park. He got a blue Batman suit. And...more action figures. His favorite things.
The friends were Brody, Elizabeth, Banks. Jake and Max were there too, but didn't get in the picture for some reason.
Luke turned one.
My baby. You have changed so much this year. You smile so much. When you see someone you love your face lights up and your little legs start kicking like crazy. You remind everyone of Sarah. You look so much like her as a baby. The love you have for Sarah and Abram is one of my favorite things in the whole wide world. You get to stay at home with me during the day. I LOVE being with you so much. You like to play with balls and you like to chew on things. You only have one little tooth as of today. You love music. Anytime a song is on, you start bouncing up and down and clapping your hands. So sweet. You also love the water. Swimming...bath tub...any water.

it is hard to say how much i love my kids. i often say, " i love you more than chocolate." abram says, "i love you up to da sky." sarah says, "i love you more than anything." wonder what luke will say? before i had kids i didn't understand. i heard moms and dads talk about the love, but didn't ever get it. now, i do. i would do anything for my babies. anything. the joy they bring me each day amazes me. i am so blessed and grateful that god has allowed me to take care of them....amazing. wonderful. love.

Batman wears his underware on the outside...
but, Batman doesn't brush his teeth...
but, Batman doesn't sit in a car seat...
but, Batman doesn't be quiet at church...
but, Batman doesn't like to pee in the potty...
oh my...have I told you how very much I love MY Batman!!!??!!
